Symptoms
One-sided yellowing and wilting of lower leaves that progresses upward, with brown vascular discoloration visible inside the stem.
Favorable conditions
- •Warm soil temperatures
- •Susceptible varieties planted in infested soil
- •Repeated tomato cropping without rotation
Management
- 1Plant resistant (F-rated) varieties
- 2Rotate crops for several years
- 3Solarize soil where feasible
- 4Avoid moving contaminated soil between fields
