Phytophthora capsici
A specific, documented cause of root rot in Pothos, distinct from the more general Phytophthora cinnamomi.
Wilting, yellowing, and root rot despite adequate watering, with roots that turn dark and mushy; can progress to a stem base rot in severe cases.
Documented as a new host record in Ha et al., "Epipremnum, a new host for Phytophthora capsici," Plant Disease, 2002 (PMID 30818541). EPPO code for the pathogen: PHYTCP.
