Symptoms

V-shaped yellowing along leaf margins, wilting in hot weather, and brown vascular streaking visible when the stem is cut.

Favorable conditions

• •Soil previously planted with cotton or other solanaceous crops
• •Fungus persisting in soil for many years

Management

1. 1Plant resistant (V-rated) varieties
2. 2Rotate away from susceptible hosts for several years
3. 3Solarize infested soil where practical
