Symptoms
V-shaped yellowing along leaf margins, wilting in hot weather, and brown vascular streaking visible when the stem is cut.
Favorable conditions
- •Soil previously planted with cotton or other solanaceous crops
- •Fungus persisting in soil for many years
Management
- 1Plant resistant (V-rated) varieties
- 2Rotate away from susceptible hosts for several years
- 3Solarize infested soil where practical
