Symptoms
Tubers turn pink when cut and exposed to air, then progress to dark brown, rotten tissue; foliage wilts in the field.
Favorable conditions
- •Excess soil moisture, especially late in the season
- •Poorly drained fields
Management
- 1Improve field drainage
- 2Avoid excess irrigation late in the season
- 3Apply mefenoxam-based fungicide
