•Low indoor humidity, especially near heating vents
•Warm, dry conditions
•New plants introduced without a quarantine period
Management
1Isolate the affected plant immediately
2Rinse leaves (top and underside) thoroughly under lukewarm water
3Apply insecticidal soap or neem oil every 5-7 days for 2-3 weeks
4Increase humidity around the plant to discourage mites from returning
