Symptoms

A bleached, bronzed, or necrotic patch develops on the sun-exposed side of the fruit.

Favorable conditions

• •Direct, intense sun exposure, especially after canopy thinning
• •Hot, high-light growing conditions

Management

1. 1Maintain adequate canopy cover over fruit
2. 2Use reflective or shade materials in hot climates
3. 3Avoid over-thinning exposed fruit
