Favorable conditions
- •Aphid vectors including Chaetosiphon and Aphis gossypii
- •Old, unreplaced strawberry beds acting as a virus reservoir
Management
- 1Buy only certified virus-free plants
- 2Replace plantings every 2-3 years rather than propagating from declining beds
- 3Avoid replanting strawberries on the same site
