Symptoms
Water-soaked, brown rot spreading over the fruit surface, worse on fruit hanging close to the ground.
Favorable conditions
- •Wet soil and rain splash
- •Fruit in direct contact with or close to the soil
Management
- 1Improve drainage
- 2Avoid fruit-soil contact through pruning/staking
- 3Apply copper or other fungicide sprays before the rainy season
