Symptoms
A necrotic line develops at the graft union, leading to gradual tree decline and eventual breakage at the union.
Favorable conditions
- •Dagger nematode vectors present in the soil
- •Planting on ground previously used for virus-susceptible orchard or vineyard crops
Management
- 1Control dagger nematode vectors before planting
- 2Use certified virus-free nursery stock
- 3Avoid replanting on known virus-infested ground
