Compact rosettes of fuzzy leaves with clusters of purple, pink, or white flowers that can bloom nearly year-round indoors.
Water spots or rot on the fuzzy leaves come from getting water directly on the foliage — always water from below or at the soil line. Refusing to bloom is usually a light issue; these need bright, indirect light to flower reliably.
A single healthy leaf with its stem inserted into moist, light potting mix will root and eventually produce tiny new plantlets at its base within a few weeks.
Repot once a year, keeping the pot small relative to the plant — African violets actually bloom better when slightly root-bound.
